Your family holidays in South Tyrol
The top 6 destinations
for families
How to best organise your family holiday in South Tyrol with children? Let us tell you. With our top 6 destinations that you can't miss on your vacation!
1. The Dolomites beach: Little Ciamaor
Build sandcastles, splash in the water and swim in clear spring water that comes from the 40 springs of Les Fontanes in the Fanes nature park.
2. Little explorers all grown up: Dolomite rangers
You have to start young if you want to become a Dolomite ranger. During their family holidays in South Tyrol, children between the ages of 7 and 12, can experience the nature park in a very special way together with their parents and an expert. Register directly at the nature park visitor centre in San Vigilio.
3. Once as an Indian: Kikeriki!
Little Indian chiefs are no longer a rarity at the Kronplatz, as the “Kikeriki” Indian village was built there specifically. It is equipped with real teepees, campfires and many more interesting things. Children learn how Indians lived more than 200 years ago in a playful way.
4. Hiking trails suitable for strollers
Nature is tempting, the spicy mountain air is just as tempting, but one doubt remains: Is this path even suitable for strollers? Our recommendations:
Col dl‘ Ancona circular trail
„Tru Vistles“ nature trail
„Tru dles Liondes“ theme trail
5. Bike tours with children
You have chosen a nice bike tour and your children are not at all enthusiastic about the path and its length: "Mum, how much further is it?" - "Daddy, I'm tired!" it sounds. But maybe you just chose the wrong tour? Here are some easy tour tips:
San Vigilio – Ciamaor to the horse ranch (3 km)
MTB-Pederü-Tour Jungle Trail (11,53 km)
6. Playgrounds
You can find playgrounds in the village centre of San Martino, the Pespesc playground in San Vigilio, at the sports field in Longiarü and in the village centre of Antermoia.
